Health and safety has always been a priority at every exhibition that is undertaken by Informa Markets.
Keeping your colleagues, contractors, as well as everyone else's health, safety, and welfare in mind, we have created this section to educate you on your legal responsibility on these key points.
No one wants people getting injured in any event and the legal ramifications are something we want to avoid all together. The earlier we have your information, the better the support we can give you. Here you'll find the guidelines for how you can have a safe and secure show, while keeping your team safe.
> Participation
It's a group effort. Exhibitors and contractors can demonstrate a commitment to the health, safety, and welfare of their people by:
- Being mindful and taking practicable measures to prevent injuries
- Creating a safe and healthy work area related to all associated stand activities.
- Educating the safety concerns and conditions to outsourced contracted services.
- Communicating to ensure that Informa Markets Health and Safety Policy is being implemented to your appointed contractors/sub-contractors and anyone else employed.
- Risk assessing all work taking place during build up and dismantling (contractors) and show open (Exhibitors).
> Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
We all know now that PPE is important! Please make sure you have the right Personal Protective Equipment for the activities you are undertaking. Please note that sturdy boots and hi-vis are recommended for everyone entering the halls during the build-up and dismantling period.
Download and read and then sign and submit the Health & Safety document linked below. Please submit the document to help@labelexpo.com.
SECURITY
Don't leave your stand unattended at any time – you are not just negatively affecting your brand image, but you are also risking the security of your valuables.
We take every precaution to ensure the safety and security of personnel and equipment while the premises are patrolled, but we cannot accept liability for any loss, damage or any consequential losses of personnel and property. We recommend that valuable items are kept under constant supervision and are removed each evening. Security at the exhibition will operate 24 hours and is controlled by Informa, in conjunction with the venue.
If you would like additional security for your stand, this can be ordered via the Fira Store.
Party/Drinks Reception on Stand:
Parties on stands will need to book a security controller for the event.

Party Security Controllers – Responsibilities & Requirements
The role of Party Security Controllers is to ensure that all events remain within the designated stand perimeter while protecting neighboring stands and maintaining a safe, controlled environment. Once the event concludes, they are also responsible for clearing the stand area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure attendees remain within the stand’s boundaries to avoid obstructing adjacent stands or walkways.
• Guide guests to the exit once the event or activity has ended.
• Coordinate with the stand manager regarding any special instructions, such as securing specific areas, restricting access, or managing sensitive zones.
Important Note:
If you have already contracted general security for your stand, this specific service must still be booked for any in-stand event.
Mandatory Requirement:
Stand security must be ordered for every party, event, or reception hosted at your stand. A minimum of one security guard per 50 attendees is required.
The cost covers the full duration of the event or party.
