Security

The Organisers have arranged for 24-hour security guards to patrol the exhibition. However, exhibitors should remember that exhibition venues are vulnerable places and should take appropriate precautions against theft.

In the event of a theft or damage, please report all incidents to the Organisers Office and to Venue Security within 24 hours of the event occurring or coming to light. A police report may also be required.

Please note that most hired cabinets have common locks and should NOT be regarded as secure units.

Security Tips for Exhibitors

Build-up

  • Use plain boxes containers that are clearly labelled with the exhibitors details including company name, contact person, and hall & stand no.
  • Have adequate personnel present at the booth to receive the shipment and take inventory.
  • Report any discrepancy in goods received to the shipper immediately.
  • Ensure you have proper insurance coverage.
  • Store valuables out of site.

Show Open Days

  • Pack small items in boxes out of site or remove them from the booth overnight. It is NOT permitted to store items behind stands or they will be disposed of.
  • Never leave your booth unattended. Samples or briefcases/handbags can easily be taken.
  • Computers, VCRs, projectors, monitors, and other electronic devices are desirable to thieves. They should always be guarded.
  • Report all security and safety incidents to venue security or the organisers immediately for assistance. A police report may also be required.
  • Secure/store valuables out of site.

Dismantle

  • Remain with your shipment until it is collected from your booth.
  • Do not leave booths unattended. Many outsiders have access to the halls during this busy time.
  • Keep any plasma screens, computer screens, or any other electrical equipment in plain boxes labelled with information that does not identify the product for security purposes.

THE ORGANISERS AND THE VENUE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGED ITEMS FROM THE STANDS AT ANY TIME. EXHIBITORS AND THEIR APPOINTED CONTRACTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OVERALL SAFE KEEPING OF THE STAND EXHIBIT PRODUCTS AND ANY PERSONAL OR VALUABLE BELONGINGS.
