RISK ASSESSMENT
Tarsus Group and PT Tarsus Indonesia SEA are committed to maintain a safe and secure event environment from set up days, event open period until the dismantling of the event. 

All Exhibitors are required to do a mandatory self risk assessment before submitting the Health & Safety Declaration Form to the Organisers. The objective of this risk assessment is to identify the hazards present at the show and state ways in which Exhibitors and their employees or contractors will minimise and control these risks. 

Please read the guidelines carefully.  Exhibitors are also responsible to ensure that their staff and contractors or appointed service providers are fully aware of the guidelines.

STANDS (BUILT BY YOU)

Exhibitors designing and constructing their own stands are required to submit a detailed drawing be approved by the Organisers and official stand fitting contractor prior to any construction.

Risk assessment is required to identify the hazards present at the show and state ways in which Exhibitors and their employees or contractors will minimise and control these risks. 

Hazards to consider – safety measures to be implemented:

  1. Working at height above 2.5m – safety platform with guardrail and safety harness required
  2. Use of ladders taller than 2m – not permitted, use safety platform
  3. Falling objects – hard hats required in areas where construction exceeds 3m 
  4. Sharp objects and uneven floor – wear safety footwear, no open-toe shoes
  5. Use of machinery, power tools or toxic substances – ensure equipment in good condition with guards fitted; ensure careful use and storage of solvents and chemicals 
  6. Safe construction of stand – ensure contractor is competent and construction is carried out using safe method, appoint a Safety Manager for your stand
  7. Any hazardous demonstration or moving exhibits within stand area – take necessary precautions to safeguard public, use safety barriers where needed
  8. Staff in coming in contact with other hazards at the show site – ensure staff are safety briefed prior to arrival on site by Safety Manager – provide suitable safety training for employees or contractors
  9. Fire risk – ensure that non-flammable materials are used in stand construction and staff are aware of Fire Safety regulations, provide fire extinguisher if stand larger than 36 sq. m.
  10. Dust – avoid manual sanding down of walls to reduce dust, provide safety masks, power-sanding tools should have dust collection bags fitted
  11. Electrical work and trailing wires – all electrical installation to the stand point will be carried out by the official standfitting contractor. Exhibitors are responsible for the wiring of their own stands and ensure that all electical wiring work to be carried out by qualified electrician, connection to the mains checked by official standfitting contractor, trailing wires should be kept to a minimum during build-up, use cordless appliances if possible
     

STANDS (PROVIDED BY US)

Shell Scheme exhibitors are not always required to undertake Risk Assessments.  However, if any of the activities below are planned, Exhibitors will be required to undertake a Risk Assessment prior to the exhibition. In a risk assessment, Exhibitors are required to identify the hazards present at the show and state ways in which Exhibitors and their employees or contractors will minimise and control these risks.  

  1. Any hazardous or moving exhibits on the stand
  2. Any live demonstration or event involving members of the public
  3. Any significant construction within their shell scheme
  4. Where Exhibitors’ staff come into contact with other hazardous areas of the exhibition
  5. Use of any machinery, power tools or toxic substances
